Pine Tar & Pumice ~ Exfoliating ~ Goat Milk Soap
Stuffed with pine tar, goat milk and pumice, these bars are a hard workers dream!
This recipe is formulated very differently from my other bars, specifically because of the pine tar. The addition of lard, the exclusion of olive oil and extra castor oil all come together to create a creamy, conditioning and cleansing awesome bar of soap!
Pine tar is antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and more! Making it a powerhouse ingredient for skin care.
Great for hands and feet, with the extra scrubbing power from pumice powder.
Saponified Ingredients: Lard, Goat Milk, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Pine Tar, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Fragrance Oil, Pumice, Colloidal Oats, Bentonite Clay, Charcoal.
These bars weigh approximately 5-5.5oz ~ (Soap weights vary, all soap is cut & piped by hand.)
I make all my soap from scratch, with LYE (Sodium Hydroxide) and quality oils and butter. The oils and butters go through a chemical process when combined with the LYE, making soap; basically "eating up" the LYE and making a soap bar that is safe for the skin. All my soap is cured for the proper time before being wrapped. I wrap my soap in a shrink wrap, which provides protection and helps keep the scent nice and fresh!
For use, make sure to keep soap out of any water, preferably with a draining soap dish. Keeping water away from handmade soap will not only make it last longer, but will assure your soap keeps it's shape and solidity.
